Summer Membership Program

 

We are pleased to announce the launch of our 2018 Summer Membership Program. Currently families who were on the waiting list from last summer are being offered the opportunity to apply now. The official launch for all other applicants will be during the first week in January.

Summer Membership Details

  • The NCFC summer membership program is ideal for a new family which would like to experience the Field Club first hand before applying for full membership.

  • Each family will only be eligible for this program once.

  • Although Summer Members are not required to apply for full membership at the end of the summer, only serious applications should be submitted.

Duration:

  • May 1st-Labor Day 2018

Summer Member Privileges:

  • Access to All Programs/Teams (Tennis, Paddle, Aquatics, Youth Programs, Social)

Restrictions:

  • Summer members will not be able to sign children up for Youth camp until 2 weeks after registration opens to full members.

  • Summer members must be approved by a Board member in order to reserve NCFC facilities for a party.

Cost:

  • $4500 (non-refundable)

Application Deadline:

  • March 1, 2018

Please note that while the deadline is March 1, 2018, this program is first come, first served, so please get your application and sponsor letters in ASAP. Spots are limited.


How to Convert From a Summer to a Full Membership

If a Summer Member is interested in transitioning seamlessly (i.e., without interruption) into the Full membership program, they need to do the following by August 15, 2018:

  • They must submit the items below to their Sponsor:

  1. Their letter of intent to transfer into the Full membership program. 

  2. Four additional NCFC letters of reference

  • All of these materials will be then reviewed by the Membership Committee.

  1. Membership, when offered, must be accepted by September 1, 2018, including the submission of the initiation fee of $15,950 (check made payable to the New Canaan Field Club).

  2. Full membership in the club is conditional upon full payment of such fees.

The annual dues, capital assessment, etc., which are subject to change, will be billed separately:

  • Annual dues:  $4,375, including 10% tax, billed in two parts in October 2018 and April 2019 with an additional $50 Social fee per billing.

  • Capital assessment:  $1,275 annually ($637.50 in October 2018 and $637.50 in April 2019) to amortize the mortgage on the new Field House.

  • Building fund:  $140 one-time fee upon initiation; plus $70 paid annually for first eight years of membership.
